75 purchases per buyer per year, 4,657 euros spent on average. French consumers are seasoned online shoppers, buying regularly, and getting more demanding.<\/p>

The headline of the 2026 FEVAD report is AI. Two numbers sum it up.<\/p>

On the seller side, 94% of e-commerce merchants say they adopted generative AI tools in 2025. Agentic commerce is the innovation leaders are most excited about for the next three years, cited by 69% of executives surveyed.<\/p>

On the buyer side, nearly 1 in 3 online shoppers already use AI somewhere in their purchase journey, mostly to compare products and find the best deal. Among frequent AI users, that jumps to 3 in 4.<\/p>
