Back Market’s official seller grades
On the buyer side, Back Market displays 4 condition levels: Premium, Excellent, Very Good, Good.
On the seller side, the grading scale is more granular. You can send up to 6 distinct grades: Premium, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Stallone.
Back Market then applies its own mapping between your seller grades and the buyer-facing display, through an algorithm that factors in each seller’s quality metrics. This mapping is not static, it’s a dynamic system where your metrics determine your visibility by grade.
Sellermania is fully compatible with all 6 Back Market seller grades.
Premium grade is a special case. It is reserved for sellers who have demonstrated consistently strong quality metrics over a significant period of time.
It’s not something you can request, it’s recognition that Back Market grants based on your performance track record.
Watch points
Every device must go through a standardised testing protocol before it can be listed. Back Market requires its own product identifiers (Back Market IDs), which are mandatory to publish your listings. Without these correctly populated in your feed, your listings won’t go live.
Back Market actively monitors the Not as Described (NAD) rate, disputes where the buyer feels the product doesn’t match its description. A high NAD rate triggers alerts on your seller account. Grade accuracy is your first line of defence.

Every marketplace runs its own grading scale, with different condition names and different criteria. None of them speak the same language as your internal grading system.
Your Grade A doesn’t automatically map to “Premium” on Back Market, “Excellent” on Refurbed, or “Renewed Premium” on Amazon.
