Managing a marketplace account requires constantly juggling files. Product catalogs, order exports, price lists, inventory files: each source has its own format, columns, and naming conventions. As a result, even before the data arrives in Sellermania, part of the team spends time manually reformatting, correcting, and re-columning files.

We integrated WeTransform into Sellermania to solve this problem at its source.

Why file import is a real issue

All marketplaces require their users to import data in a specific format. This makes sense: the system needs a target format to validate and process the data correctly.

The problem is that your source files never resemble this target format. Your columns have different names. Some values ​​are encoded differently. Cells are empty where they shouldn’t be. One supplier exports in XLSX with merged cells, another in CSV with a semicolon separator, and a third extracts the information from their ERP.

This is what we call format proliferation: the larger your catalog, the more numerous your sources, the more the number of different formats you have to handle explodes. And each different format represents time spent adapting, correcting, and re-importing.

What WeTransform actually offers

WeTransform is an AI Import Management platform for B2B SaaS. Its role: to take any incoming file, whether it’s CSV, Excel, JSON, or another format, and automatically transform it into the target format expected by the target application—in our case, marketplaces.

Natural language rules replace Excel manipulations. Need to transform a value, concatenate two columns, or normalize a date format? You describe what you want in plain English, and WeTransform generates the corresponding rule. No formulas to write, no scripts.

Validation flags errors before import. Before your data enters Sellermania, WeTransform checks for constraints: missing values, incorrect formats, duplicates. Errors are displayed clearly, with the option to correct them directly in the interface, on the Finalize screen.

Sellermania as a first user

Sellermania has been using WeTransform since its integration into the product. This isn’t just a theoretical announcement: it’s a tool we use ourselves to allow our clients to import their catalogs and operational data from their business files.

WeTransform’s clients include platforms in logistics, finance, and e-commerce operations, and ING is among its references. For Sellermania, the challenge was clear: to reduce the friction involved in importing catalogs, which was one of the primary sources of support tickets during onboarding.
